SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – Fairgoers must act now to purchase a carnival ride Mega Pass at the discounted price of $55. After Saturday, July 14, the price will increase to $65.
A Mega Pass is a ticket for an unlimited number of rides on the Adventure Village and Carnival Midway attractions all 11 days of the Illinois State Fair. It does not, however, include admission to the fair or rides on the Tram, Giant Slide and Sky Glide.
The Mega Pass Office, which is located in the Emmerson Building on Main Street, will be open until 6 p.m. every night this week. It also will be open Saturday, July 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. before resuming its regular hours next week of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Admission Booklets are also available for purchase in the Mega Pass Office. The booklet contains ten admissions to the fair and is a great addition to a Mega Pass purchase. An adult booklet is $45, and a Senior/Children booklet is $20.
The office accepts cash and credit cards, but not personal checks.
The 2012 Illinois State Fair will run Aug. 9-19.
