Governor Quinn Statement on Yom Kippur

CHICAGO - Governor Pat Quinn today issued the following statement on Yom Kippur:

"Yom Kippur marks an important time of self-reflection.

"As members of the Jewish community across Illinois and around the world begin observance of this Day of Atonement, it's also an important time reflect on the past and what, as individuals, we can do to help create a better tomorrow.

"I wish all who are observing Yom Kippur an easy fast and a purposeful day of reflection."
