Ryan: $133,200 in Illinois FIRST Projects for Northwest Illinois
SPRINGFIELD -- Governor George H. Ryan announced today that he is releasing $133,200 in Illinois FIRST funding for projects in Northwest Illinois, including $50,000 to the Winslow School District 202 to replace all the windows in the elementary school.
The original windows, frames, sills and trim have deteriorated to the point where maintenance and heating is costly. The new windows will enable the building to meet health and life safety codes. The school is contributing $50,200. This Illinois FIRST project was initiated by State Sen. Todd Sieben, R-Geneseo.
