SPRINGFIELD -- Governor George H. Ryan announced today that he is releasing $215,000 in Illinois FIRST funding for projects in the Far Northwest Suburbs, including $60,000 to the Village of West Dundee to reconstruct and repair the driveway and parking area at the Public Safety Center.
- $30,000 to Big Rock Township
to install an underdrain system for the Timber View Acres subdivision. The township is contributing $126,000.

- $25,000 to the Hampshire Fire Protection District
to purchase a new ambulance. The district is contributing $71,908.

- $20,000 to the YWCA of Elgin
to complete the interior of the pavilion at Camp Tu-Endie-Wei.

- $20,000 to the Village of Richmond
to purchase wood flooring, a boiler, piping for a heating system and a concrete entrance for Memorial Hall. The village is contributing $12,450 from local donations and fundraisers.
- $20,000 to the Village of Wonder Lake
to purchase two leaf collection machines.
- $10,000 to the Wonder Lake Fire Protection District
to purchase rescue equipment.
- $10,000 to the City of McHenry
to make drainage improvements in the area of Willow Lane.

to purchase and install new floor tile for the kitchens of 24 units on North Kenmore in Chicago.
