Governor, First Lady Attend Holocaust Memorial Museum Luncheon

CHICAGO - Governor Bruce Rauner and First Lady Diana Rauner today attended the 2016 Risa K. Lambert Chicago Luncheon, an event to raise money for the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

“The State of Illinois is committed to the mission of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum and supports efforts to strengthen Holocaust education in our schools,” Governor Rauner said.  “We will never forget this horrific time in human history – the systematic murder of six millions Jews and the murder and persecution of so many others.  With the growing threat of global anti-Semitism and state-sponsored human rights abuses prevalent throughout the world, supporting the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum remains critical.”
