Ryan: $35,000 in Illinois FIRST Projects for Southern Illinois

SPRINGFIELD -- Governor George H. Ryan announced today that he is releasing $35,000 in Illinois FIRST funding for projects in Southern Illinois, including $10,000 to the Johnson County Ambulance Service to purchase a defibrillator.

This Illinois FIRST project was initiated by House Republican Leader Lee A. Daniels, Elmhurst.

Other Illinois FIRST grants announced by Ryan:

  • $10,000 to the Lick Creek School District to purchase computers and related equipment.
    This project was initiated by Daniels.

  • $10,000 to the Tamms Volunteer Fire Department to complete the interior construction of its new facility.
    This project was initiated by Daniels.

  • $5,000 to the Pulaski County Development Association to purchase the materials for restroom and shower facilities at the Ohio River Recreational Area near Grand Chain.
    This project was initiated by Daniels.
