Governor authorizes Fiscal Year 2003 Capital Dollars

SPRINGFIELD - After reviewing the capital projects to ensure that they meet his criteria of promoting education, health, public safety or economic development, Gov. Rod Blagojevich today authorized the release of $21,403,896 from the fiscal year 2003 capital funds for more than 35 capital projects throughout Illinois.
 
"These projects will help communities meet some of their critical needs," said Gov. Blagojevich. The Governor's Office, CDB and the Governor's Office of Management and Budget reviewed all projects and gave authorization to precede based on priority. These projects were overseen by the Capital Development Board (CDB), which manages all state construction projects.
