Governor announces $37,500 for Village of East Dundee

Press Release - Friday, February 06, 2004

CHICAGO- Governor Rod R. Blagojevich today announced a $37,500 grant to the Village of East Dundee to offset construction costs of a new turn lane on State Route 68 and sanitary sewer replacement along State Route 72.  These funds represent the final installments on two grants totaling $75,000 for these projects.

"I'm happy we could provide necessary resources for projects important to East Dundee's public health and safety, and quality of life," said Governor Blagojevich.

Along Route 68 a turn lane is being added at the entrance of Village Green, a large residential development.  On Route 72 at North Van Buren Street, 1000 feet of new sewer main is being installed, replacing the current main, which is dangerous and leaks onto the road.

"These important projects will help maintain and enhance the quality of life people cherish in East Dundee.  I want to thank the Governor for this continued funding which helps honor the legacy of Representative Doug Hoeft," said State Representative Ruth Munson, the current legislative sponsor for these projects.
