Governor Ryan Makes Appointments to Eastern Illinois University Board of Trustees
SPRINGFIELD -- Governor George H. Ryan announced today the appointment of Robert C. Manion and Juliette T. Nimmons to the Eastern Illinois University Board of Trustees.
"These two members both have unique backgrounds and experiences that will enhance and strengthen the EIU Board of Trustees and help the faculty, students and staff at EIU deal with issues facing the University," said Ryan. "I am confident that they will serve the university well."
Manion, 59, of Hinsdale is a retired Partner of Andersen Consulting. He began working for the consulting firm in 1966, and worked his way up to Managing Partner of Andersen's international firms before becoming the Chief Financial Officer of Andersen Consulting's Global Enterprise Group. He graduated from EIU in 1966.
Nimmons, 45, of Litchfield is President and C.E.O. of Schutt Sports. Prior to Schutt Sports, she served as President of Schutt Manufacturing Compnay, and taught elementary music for three years for Southwestern District #9 in Piasa, Illinois. She gradudated from EIU in 1977.
Members of the Eastern Illinois Board of Trustees are paid expenses only. Manion's appointment expires January 17, 2005, and Nimmons' expires January 15, 2007. The appointments require Senate confirmation.
