The extension will run southerly from Illinois Route 38 to the Union Drainage ditch along the Illinois tollway.
This Illinois FIRST project was initiated by State Rep. David A. Wirsing, R-Sycamore.
Other Illinois FIRST grants announced by Ryan:
$60,000 to the Stillman Fire Protection District to purchase a new tanker truck. The district is contributing $136,959. This project was initiated by Wirsing.
$50,000 to the Cortland Community Fire Protection District to purchase a fire truck and fire and safety equipment. This project was initiated by Wirsing.
