"Today, the 180 soldiers of the Force Protection Company A will be deployed to a new mission in Afghanistan.  This is an emotional day as these soldiers and their families are faced with the difficulty and challenges of being separated from their loved ones.  On behalf of the people of Illinois, I express the deep gratitude we feel for their service.  The dedication of Force Protection Company A exemplifies everything that makes our country great.  Their bravery, honor, and sacrifice inspire us all.  We know they will succeed in their mission, and we look forward to the day when we welcome them back to Illinois."
