Statement from Governor Rod R. Blagojevich

 "Soon, the 170 soldiers of Freeport's 333rd Military Police Company will be leaving spouses, parents, children and friends behind to honorably serve their country in Afghanistan. I applaud their sacrifice, courage and devoted service to Illinois and to our country. I would also like to acknowledge and thank the family members of the 333rd Military Police Company for supporting and loving them through every challenge they may face.  We know this company will succeed in their mission and we look forward to the day when we will welcome them back to Illinois with open arms."
