CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Insurance announced today the first in a series of educational webinars focused on the health insurance exchanges to be established in 2014 under the federal health care reform bill, known as the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
The first webinar, “Basics of an Exchange,” will cover: 1) the statutory requirements for an American Health Benefit Exchange; and 2) an overview of the outstanding issues to be considered by State policymakers (e.g., governance options for the Exchange). Future webinars will explore such policy questions in more detail.
