CHICAGO – The Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs (IDVA) is hosting a free Helping & Hiring Our Hometown Heroes benefits fair for veterans on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the historic Woodstock Opera House, 121 West Van Buren St., Woodstock, Ill.

The event, which will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., will bring federal, state and local agencies and organizations together in one location. The program is free and open to veterans and their families. Veterans are encouraged to bring their DD214 and any other relevant documents to the event. Refreshments will be available from 4-5 p.m.
