Press Release - Thursday, August 22, 2013

ROBINSON – Governor Pat Quinn today announced a capital investment of $25,000 for work at Lincoln Trail College in Robinson. The work is part of Governor Quinn’s Illinois Jobs Now! capital construction program that is creating jobs and driving Illinois’ economy forward.

“These funds will benefit students at this vital educational facility in Crawford County,” Governor Quinn said. “The project will also employ a number of construction workers, which will help the local economy as well.”

Lincoln Trail College will use the funding to help expand the welding program building or other capital improvements on campus.

“Maintaining and upgrading our higher education facilities not only ensures a quality learning environment for current students, up-to-date facilities draw in future students as well,” State Sen. Dale Righter (R-Mattoon) said.

This project is part of Governor Quinn’s $31 billion Illinois Jobs Now! program, which will support more than 439,000 jobs over six years. Illinois Jobs Now! is the largest capital construction program in Illinois history, and is one of the largest capital construction programs in the nation.
