Governor Quinn Statement on Easter

CHICAGO - Governor Pat Quinn today issued the following statement on Easter weekend:

"This weekend people across Illinois will join together to celebrate Easter and the sense of rejuvenation that arrives with the Spring season.

"Easter is a time to reflect on those in our lives who have given something up on our behalf or have made sacrifices for the greater good.

"The Easter holiday is a gift of hope and renewal. Let us all take time to give our fellow residents an offering of peace during this special weekend.
