Press Release - Thursday, June 12, 2014

DANVILLE – Governor Pat Quinn today announced an investment of $2.6 million for a construction project in Vermilion County. Funded by his Illinois Jobs Now! construction program, the project is part of Governor Quinn’s commitment to creating jobs and driving Illinois’ economy forward.

“This project will address critical infrastructure needs in eastern Illinois, improve safety and increase mobility,” Governor Quinn said. “The project will also employ a number of construction workers, which benefits the local economy.”

A bridge carrying Illinois Route 119 over the North Fork of the Vermilion River north of Danville will be replaced for $2,609,635 by O’Neil Bros., a division of MACCV of Illinois Inc. of Urbana.

The project will be managed by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The project is part of Governor Quinn’s $31 billion Illinois Jobs Now! program, which will support more than 439,000 jobs over six years. Illinois Jobs Now! is the largest construction program in Illinois history, and is one of the largest construction programs in the nation.
