Governor Quinn on the Occasion of Diwali

CHICAGO - Governor Pat Quinn today issued the following statement on the occasion of Diwali:

"Diwali is a joyous time observed by people across Illinois and around the world.

"This holiday, also known as the ‘Festival of Lights,' celebrates the triumph of hope over despair and light over darkness, timeless themes that are so relevant in today's world.
