Press Release - Friday, September 04, 2015

SPRING GROVE, IL—In honor of Labor Day, Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti joined Acting Assistant Director of the Illinois Department of Labor, Anna Hui, at Scot Forge.

“Today we celebrate the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our state,” said Acting Assistant Director, Anna Hui. “Illinois takes great pride in being home to an employer like Scot Forge.”

Joined by Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti, Acting Assistant Director Hui and Lt. Gov Sanguinetti met with Scot Forge employees and toured the facilities.

“Governor Rauner and I have made it a priority since the beginning to foster an environment for businesses to come, stay and prosper,” remarked Lt. Gov. Sanguinetti. “We hope that other employers will follow in the footsteps of Scot Forge by creating an environment where employees are valued and indispensible to the success of the business.”

Year after year, Scot Forge is recognized by OSHA and the Forging Industry Association for their outstanding safety performance. In 2014, Scot Forge was recognized by EHS Today as one of America's Safest Companies, becoming the very first forging facility in the United States to receive this award.
