Illinois Youth Center-Harrisburg Employees Raise $40,000 in Charity Campaign
SPRINGFIELD – Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) Director Candice Jones commended Illinois Youth Center – Harrisburg for reaching their employee fundraising goal of $40,000 through the State and University Combined Appeal (SECA) donation campaign.
“The Harrisburg Youth Center continues to set the standard for charitable giving throughout our department,” said Director Jones. “Reaching this milestone is a testament to the culture of caring and generosity within our workforce.”
SECA, established in 1983, is a workplace giving campaign that allows state employees to donate to nearly 2,000 charities through annual payroll deduction or by writing a one-time check. IYC-Harrisburg received two awards through the program earlier in the year, including third place in “Most Giving.”
“I’m proud of all of our employees for committing to this excellent program and am truly grateful to our SECA Ambassador, Bryan Questelle, for making this possible,” said IYC-Harrisburg Superintendent William Peyton. “Our employees continue to demonstrate that they are dedicated to helping those less fortunate than ourselves, and SECA gives us the opportunity to do so.”
