IL 96 at Emery Creek in Quincy

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Transportation announces that IL 96 will be closed at Emery Creek in Quincy, just east of the 24th St. and State St. intersection, beginning Monday, June 6. The marked detour route will follow IL 104 (Broadway St.) and I-172.

The closure is necessary for crews to complete a bridge replacement project. The work will also include pavement removal, pavement marking, placement of riprap, and seeding.

IL 96 is expected to reopen to traffic in late July; additional lane closures may be required to complete additional work items, through early fall.
