Governor Rauner Cuts Ribbon for Grand Opening of Obed and Isaac's Peoria

PEORIA - Governor Rauner today joined Conn's Hospitality Group CEO Karen Conn, Illinois Office of Tourism Director Cory Jobe, and other state and local officials to cut the ribbon at Obed & Isaac's new Peoria location.

"This is a good day for Peoria and all of central Illinois," Governor Rauner said. "Small businesses are the backbone of our communities. They make our communities livable and enjoyable, and provide high quality products and services and good jobs. This is what makes Illinois the greatest state in the country. It's about the folks who share the will to grow and create a better future for all of us and that's what the Conn family is doing."

This is Conn's Hospitality Group's second location of Obed & Isaac's Microbrewery and Eatery. The original location is in Springfield. The Peoria Microbrewery location will mirror the Springfield location and will include a similar food menu, on-site microbrewery, outdoor dining, bocce ball courts and bag toss. New additions to the Peoria location will include a 15-barrel brew house and distillery that will include an Obed's original rum, vodka and gin.
