SPRINGFIELD -- Gov. George H. Ryan made additional appointments to his cabinet today, including the selection of Pam McDonough, chair of the Illinois Women's Business Ownership Council, as director of the state Department of Commerce and Community Affairs.

RYAN HIRES ADDITIONAL AGENTS TO MONITOR NEW PAROLEES
SPRINGFIELD -- Gov. George H. Ryan today sped up his plans to double the number of state parole officers by ordering the Department of Corrections to immediately hire 10 new agents to supervise former inmates released by a recent Illinois Supreme Court ruling.
